INCADEA CHINA. STRENGTHENS POSITION IN THE CHINESE MARKET WITH FIRST LOCAL OEM WIN

16/10/2012

incadea China, a wholly-owned subsidiary of incadea plc - a leading provider of software solutions and services to the global automotive dealership industry, announces that it has won its first local contract with a Chinese OEM, namely Qoros, a manufacturer of competitively priced mid-size cars for the Chinese and European markets.

Under this contract for licences and services, incadea will deliver its next-generation Dealer Management System (DMS), incadea.myengine, to the Qoros dealer network in China.

Initially, incadea.myengine will be delivered to more than 80 dealers and will be integrated into a distributed control system supplied by IBM China.

incadea.myengine is the next generation DMS of incadea, that enables OEMs to improve the performance of their dealer networks by capturing and managing relevant data, monitoring the supply chain between the OEM and the dealer, and helping OEMs to maximize the performance of their processes, inventory and customer relationship management.

Dr. Wolfgang Grottke, Chief Information Officer at Qoros, commented: “Following a comprehensive assessment of available DMS solutions, it is clear that incadea.myengine fulfills all our functionality requirements. We feel positive that incadea.myengine will offer us the competitive advantage we need and help us implement our business strategy successfully.”

incadea CEO Werner Leinauer said: “We are delighted to have been awarded this contract by Qoros, which strengthens incadea’s existing position in China where there is substantial growth potential for the company. We already work in China with some of the world’s leading car brands and we now have the opportunity to develop our business with a significant local OEM.”

incadea China’s OEM customers also include Volkswagen, Toyota-Lexus and Porsche, with more than 300 dealers of world leading companies implemented.

According to BMI’s industry report 2012,sales of passenger cars in China increased by 279 per cent to 12.5 million units in 2011 from 3.3 million in 2005, and are forecast to grow a further 8.5 per cent to 13.6 million units in 2012.

As OEMs continue their global expansion, particularly in BRIC and other emerging markets, they are seeking to strengthen the relationship with their dealer networks in order to maximize sales and operating performance. OEMs are utilizing incadea’s technology to support this change which they are implementing worldwide.
